FOCUS WEEK 22 - 26 July

JOT hosted another highly successful Focus Week. The learners

were treated to Worship Bands and Guest Speakers from around

the city, visiting us throughout the week. A fantastic youth event

on Friday night concluded this special week in the JOT calendar.

Absentee Notes:

We want to remind parents that an absentee letter/doctor's certificate must be sent to school when a learner has been

absent from school. It appears that some learners stay away from school for very trivial reasons and we would like to

impress upon parents that, in such cases, learners lose out on important academic work done during the school

day.

Ons wil ouers daaraan herinner dat ’n afwesigheidsbriefie of doktersertifikaat ingegee moet word as ’n leerder van skool

afwesig was. Dit blyk dat sommige leerders sommer vir enige skeet by die huis bly. Ons wil dit op u hart druk om u kind

nie sommer by die huis te hou nie, want hulle mis vreeslik baie akademiese werk.

Matric Farewell:

We want to appeal to parents of grade 12 learners to assist us by ensuring that Matric Farewell arrangements will not

disrupt learners during the trial exam period. Please ensure that all appointments are made timeously, and not during the

school day, so that academic time is not lost.

Ons doen ’n beroep op gr. 12-ouers om ons te help om te verseker dat matriekafskeid reëlings nie u kind se rekord-

eksamen negatief sal beïnvloed nie. Maak afsprake vroegtydig en nie gedurende die skooldag nie. Te veel akademiese

tyd gaan dan verlore.
