Below: The spacious bathroom. cabin. Although only 6ft 6in in length, it fits in a 4ft double berth, full height mirrored wardrobe, high level cupboard and bedside table/storage, that could double as a desk. Ideal for visitors, or possibly children (it could potentially be fitted with two single bunk beds, which would give even more storage/ desk space), it is surprisingly comfortable. It also has proper high and low level ventilation, but it is missing any direct heating – though there is a radiator in the corridor outside. BATHROOM Another sliding glass door leads to the bathroom, which is the size of a typical walk-through bathroom on a narrowboat, but is contained off the corridor to give a far more useable space. A large quadrant shower provides plenty of elbow room with the Vetus macerator loo (with sensible holding tank gauge) next to it. Against the aft IN DETAIL EQUIPMENT Pioneer.indd 43 20/12/13 16:56:32
