1 INTRODUTION TO ONCOMMAND INSIGHT REPORT
OnCommand™ Insight Report (also called OnCommand Report) provides comprehensive reporting of your NetApp storage infrastructure. The current version of the product provides reports on inventory, capacity and storage efficiency. By using OnCommand Report, you can consolidate data from DataFabric Manager or OnCommand servers, view predesigned reports, and create your own custom reports and dashboards. These reports can help you optimize your storage and improve capacity planning.
OnCommand Report provides data center visibility to NetApp storage resources. With OnCommand Report, administrators can consolidate data from multiple DataFabric Manager or OnCommand servers.
OnCommand Report performs the following actions:
• Identifies your NetApp storage environment.
• Operates as agent-less software that runs on Microsoft Windows.
• Enables the consolidation of data from multiple DataFabric Manager or OnCommand servers.
• Displays inventory and capacity information such as growth, capacity utilization, overcommitted capacity, deduplication effects, and space reservation.
• Provides the ability to group data in reports, by using the constructs supported by the DataFabric Manager server. For example. resource groups.
• Provides information about controllers, status of controllers (for example, active-active status), and resource groups.

2 BUILT-IN REPORTS IN ONCOMMAND REPORT OnCommand Report includes built-in reports that cover aspects of inventory, capacity, storage efficiency, and a standard asset dashboard. Various reports provide both high-level information needed for planning and budgeting, and detailed information necessary for efficient day-to-day operations. You can easily drill down from summary information to find more detailed information as necessary.
3 IMPORTING CUSTOM REPORTS AND DASHBOARDS IN ONCOMMAND REPORT
If built-in reports do not satisfy your reporting needs, OnCommand Report provides the capability to create custom reports. By using the query studio, you can drag and drop the items that you want to include in your report. You can also sort and filter the data, apply calculations ,and create charts from a single, simple-to-use interface.
If you want to use the custom reports and dashboard created by another OnCommand Report user instead of creating them again, you can import them from the NetApp OnCommand Report community to the OnCommand Report deployment folder.
You must have Administrator level access privilege to perform this task.
We will consider an example of a vFiler Resource Allocation and Capacity Utilization report, which was created by another OnCommand Report user.
