Why Non-Profit?
Objectives of this association are:1)To organize, promote, and implement affordable export of local agriculture and aquaculture products from Pohnpei.
2)To improve the economy and the quality of life for residents of Pohnpei.

What will PEA provide?• A reliable operations center located next to the Pohnpei Airport.
•Space where exporters can bring their export materials and have them packed on a container destined for Guam
•Logistic support for exported materials to clear customs in Guam and be picked up by local agents
•Lowest cost shipping for export of agriculture and aquaculture goods from Pohnpei.
What will PEA provide?• A network of farmers and exporters that can team up to increase export activities from Pohnpei
•A way for new exporters to ship smaller shipments in a consolidated container.
•An NGO that will solely focus on export issues and improving our capacity to reach more and bigger markets with our Pohnpei products
• Low cost shipping materials (boxes, tapes, etc.)
•Monthly and/or quarterly statistics and financial reports to FSM DRD, Pohnpei State Economic Affairs, and all donors.
Who can participate?Any exporter of agriculture and/or aquaculture and any other products to any export market can utilize this service. The PEA will only facilitate the shipping process to pull together resources in order to minimize shipping costs as much as possible.

5. PEA receives goods from businesses, makes arrangements, load container, and deliver container to shipping line to ship to consignee/agent in Guam.
6. Consignee/agent receives container and distributes to business / individual buyers.

Shipment & Fee Calculation 1.Exporters must make bookings 2 days prior to
shipping date.
2.Exporters are billed no less than booking amount.
3.Rates are calculated after all bookings are submitted.
4.Rates are calculated based on weight or volume, whichever is greater.
