Results

• By controlling and monitoring thru the PLC we are able to:

• Confirm the index action of the table• Sense that the correct part is presented for induction heating

• Confirm that the part to coil location is correct• Control the austenitizing, annealing or tempering temperature

• We can control the length of time at temperature• Confirm the spindle is in position to index

• Delay the quench until the proper temperature is reached• Quenching can occur in or out of the heating coil

• The duration of the quench can be controlled
