IMPACT is a BIM system for designing and handling prefabricated element building projects. Built on open database technology, the central database building model is accessed from the Project Manager, Model Viewer, Administrative Tool, or modelling tools for various drafting platforms.

Prefab planning starts at the site. Time schedules for erecting elements are set, dictating when an element needs to be delivered, produced and ultimately, designed and drafted. IMPACT streamlines the workflow by incorporating plans and time schedules into the drafting process. Element status allows easy progress tracking for each individual element.

With IMPACT Precast, production issues are handled from the early stages of a project.

Production lines are stored in the factory-level of the database with information about geometry and weight limits. Building cranes for erection with lift capacity curves and restrictions are placed in the model.

Elements are continuously checked against the production and crane capacities. If limits are exceeded, elements are clearly marked in red and tooltips contain extended information on the error.

IMPACT Precast has been developed in close collaboration with precast plants, with a unique focus on delivering quality material to the production.

Drawings are highly customisable so that production staff is presented with the data they need in a clear way in a layout they are used to. With distributed company standards, layout is handled automatically leaving external consultants to focus on element design.

There are a number of predefined list reports available, from element reports and item lists to follow-up reports and planning documents. Revisions and difference reports ensure that the correct information is delivered. If the default reports are not enough, custom reports can aggregate the data that your company needs.

IMPACT supports a number of export formats to production planning systems (ERP) and production automisation systems including Unitechnik, BETSY and ELiPLAN.

With IMPACT, Detailers, Project Managers, Transport Planners and Site Managers can all work with the same data, ensuring that everyone has the correct information and is working towards the same goal.

Project managers always have the latest information in IMPACT Project Manager, from where drawings and lists are created and planning data is edited.

Plant and company standards are handled in IMPACT Administrative Tool, ensuring that the correct components and settings are used for each project.

USERS

AutoCAD® is the main platform for creating and modifying elements. Plan, elevation and shop drawings can all be used to edit the geometry and attributes of elements.

Revit® models can be linked bi-directionally to IMPACT, providing an initial model to further refine and detail.

Originally developed internally at one of Sweden’s largest precast manufacturers, IMPACT has a unique focus on creating high-quality deliverables. That’s why IMPACT drawings and reports aim to be precise and easily readable as well as highly customisable to suit the needs of the manufacturing plant.

Automated production lines can benefit from a large number of ERP and machine control file formats.

PRODUCTION

With IMPACT Production Suite, elements can be tracked throughout the prefab process down to individual casting beds and transport stacks. For site planning, erection sequences can be animated in a step by step simulation.
