CONCUSIONS

DESPITE FULL RECOVERY OF CD4 T CELL

NUMBERS, IMMUNOCONCORDANT TREATED

HIV INFECTED INDIVIDUALS MAINTAIN

IMMUNOLOGICAL ALTERATIONS IN ALL CD4

AND CD8 T CELL COMPARTMENTS.

SENESCENCE ACCUMULATED DURING

UNTREATED INFECTION LEAVES A

IRREVERSIBLE? IMPRINT IN THE IMMUNE

SYSTEM
