• Updating a Multivolume dataset and if you do not specify

the first volume in the chain an error is produced

• Researching Multivolume dataset can take an extended

period of time when needing to extend or expire

• New CHAIN option with TMSUPDTE

• Chain indicates that the volume being updated might not be the

first volume of a multivolume data set. This statement will

determine the first volume of the aggregate and apply the update

to all volumes of the multivolume dataset.

• Enables Multivolume dataset to be updated with out specifying the first volume.
