    Clinker is produced by burning a mixture of

    materials, mainly limestone, silicon oxides,

    aluminum, and iron oxides.

    accounting for about 80% of the energy used in cement

    production.

    OCL we were having PLC 5/60. Now have now

    added control logix processor (1756 L55). The

    benefits arriving out of it are as follows:-

    PLC optimisation at OCL:

    1. Data updatation time reduced milliseconds.

    2. Data monitoring speed increased to 5 Mbps.

    3. Processor load reduced by increasing memory

    capacity to 50Mb-words.

    4. New PLC facilitates to add up to 100 I/O racks.5. Internal scanning time reduced to 60-70 milliseconds.

    6. PLC programming became highly user friendly.

    7. Plant operation from CCR became much faster.
