Data Analytics User Group J O I N U S T O D I S C U S S T H E L A T E S T I N D A T A A N A L Y T I C S . . .

The Data Analytics User Group is newly formed group with the Pitts-burgh Chapter of the IIA. The group is made of audit professionals who are willing to share successes and overcome challenges regarding the use of data analytics in a roundtable format.

In order to appeal to the broadest

group possible the focus is not on a specific product (e.g. ACL, Idea, and Microsoft Excel). Those that are considering data analytics, as well as, those that are experts are en-couraged and welcomed to partici-pate in the interest of furthering data analytics usage within the Pitts-burgh Chapter.

The next meeting of the Data Ana-lytics User Group will be in De-cember 2016. Interested parties should e-mail Travis Hudson at: [email protected] to attend the session. Additional in-formation will follow after the RSVP.

The IIA Pittsburgh chapter hosts a semi‐annual CAE / Internal Audit Director Roundtable meeting. Typically, 15 to 20 local internal audit leaders participate in these meetings. Our roundtable is held at various local companies and the meeting Agenda consists of internal audit related questions, issues and concerns that the leaders provide to the meeting facilitator prior to the meeting. Past meetings have included topics related to risk assessment and planning, emerging risks, audit pro‐cess, reporting to management and audit committees, staffing and regulatory com‐pliance. If you have an interest in participating in the next round table which will be held on October 25, please feel free to contact Jim Risbon, meeting facilitator at jris‐[email protected] or 412‐288‐1992. The group is very welcoming and is al‐ways looking to increase participation by CAEs and Internal Audit Directors from the area covered by our Chapter.
