IHG has reported strong earnings through the first half of 2011. We certainly could not have done this without the great partnerships we have with the travel agency community. I know that your business also continues to improve. We look forward to continuing this trend for the remainder of 2011 and beyond. All I can say is, what a difference a year makes! It’s been one year since the rollout of our revised travel agency portal, Travel Consultant Connection (www.IHGAgent.com) including IHG Agent University, which won us the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) eLearning Excellence Award. Prior to our launch, we conducted focus groups with travel agents to determine what information was needed in order to fully understand IHG and be able to sell our brands to your clients. Since the rollout, we have continued to solicit feedback from the agency community. I am happy to announce that, based on your feedback, changes are coming to the agency portal as well as to our University Learning Program. You can look for these changes in Fall 2011. Boston is a great destination for a fun getaway. Check out the article on Page 2. In our next edition, we will give you an update on the effort we are putting forth toward our Crowne Plaza brand.
