IFS-EMMAUS Celebrates 13 Years of Successful Work

A manifestation due to the celebration of 13 years

of IFS-EMMAUS successful work was held on 7 April

2012 in the facilities of Reception Centre “Duje”.

As part of the manifestation, Mss. Dženana Šabić-

director„s assistant presented the International

Forum of Solidarity- Emmaus and the activities that

are being worked on.

A special cultural and artistic program prepared by

protégés, volunteers and employees was organized

for friends and guests of IFS-Emmaus.

Protégés, volunteers and employees prepared

various recitations, piano exhibitions, playing of

guitar and harmonics showing their pleasure and

happiness to be part of this organization.

Empolyees who work at the International Forum of

Solidarity-Emmaus for more than 10 years

After the program, recognitions and presents were

given to employees as reward for their ten years

work at International Forum of Solidarity.

For the entire 3650 days and more, these

employees gave all in their power to assist people

who needed help, who gave themselves to others,

gave hope to underprivileged, abandoned and

forgotten and who did not care to neglect

themselves for good of others.

Employees who were given recognitions and

presents for their work are: Mr. Sead Bajraktarević,

Mr. Mohammed Yaser Sabagh, Mr. Ešef Husičić, Mr.

Hamzalija Okanović, Mr. Mevludin Mustafić, Mss.

Jasmina Hadžić, Mrs. Zijada Delić, Mrs. Amila

Okanović, Mr. Ramo Mehurović and Mss. Dženana

Šabić.

Besides, the best employee of 2011 was awarded for

his impeccable work done during that year.

Accordingly, Mr. Šahzo Sinanović was nominated for

that reward as a longtime medical technician at

Reception Centre Duje since he was considered a great

humanitarian, a professional dedicated to his vocation

and always ready to help and give a word of comfort to

everyone.

A Football Tournament in Memory

of “Franco Bettoli 2012”

Third place was taken by FC “Betaclub-Tango”,

Lukavac and the final match was played between

FC “Sloga”, Doboj and FC “Ozren”, Petrovo.

FC “Ozren”, Petrovo won the second place and

the winner of this years‟ tournament was the FC

“Sloga” from Doboj.

Aiming at socialization of minor protégés of RC

“Duje”, a friendly match between the winner of

tournament and soccer team of minor protégés

of RC “Duje” was played.

On the occasion of fourth anniversary of Franco

Bettoli‟s death, a dear and truly friend of Bosnia and

Herzegovina and IFS-Emmaus, on 7th April 2012 in

the facilities of International Forum of Solidarity was

organized an appropriate program called “ In memory

of life and work of Franco Bettoli”.

As part of the program, an indoor football tournament

named “Franco Bettoli 2012” was held.

Participants of the tournament were primary school

students from the following clubs: FC “Kaskada”,

Gračanica; FC “Betaclub-Tango”, Lukavac; FC “Doboj

Istok”, Klokotnica; FC “Sloga”, Doboj; FC “Ozren”,

Petrovo and FC “Mladost”, Brijesnica.

monument dedicated to Franco Bettoli, Emir

Nurkić Kačapor- director of World Solidarity

Alliance gave a touching speech about Franco

Bettoli and his good deeds which Franco made

all his life including his experiences while

working with him. A minute of silence was held

and afterwards Mss. Selma Nurkić, a former

employee of Emmaus International and a great

friend to Franco Bettoli put flowers on the

monument dedicated to him.

A round table was held on the topic of life and

work of Franco Bettoli.

other friends and acquaintances of late Franco Bettoli

As part of the manifestation that celebrated 13 years of

work of the Inetrnational Forum of Solidarity- Emmaus, in

facilitiy of primary school “Klokotnica“ in Klokotnica, two

friendly games took place. In order to make this

manifestatioan a big event, the introductory game was

played by two senior teams: “Kaskada“, Gračanica and

“Doboj Istok“, Klokotnica.

Among others, the manifestation was attended by

the representative of B&H Football Union, Mr. Murat

Jaha-the coordinator of indoor football and social

programes before the Football Union of Bosnia and

Herzegovina. A friendly game was played between

two homeless teams which was full of enthusiasm

and positive energy.
