THE NEED There are millions of unfilled I.T. jobs across every sector of the economy. These jobs average over 100,000 per year in pay. The number of jobs available will only accelerate, with an estimated increase of 250,000 new tech-based jobs per year over the next 10 years. In general, our existing school system does not have the resources, knowledge, or infrastructure to supply this growing demand. Furthermore, minorities and underprivileged youth and young adults, who are already underrepresented in technology, stand to fall even further behind the curve.
