The simple form and interaction would be personalized by the user, in theory this would make “sameness” an idea rather than the form. I am not sure if this is still a direc-tion I want to work in. But its a start, the goals will never change, my main interest is synthesizing a us-ers online experience. I would want flow, this would be an extension of the users, not just a tool. It has been said that one day we will reach a point in technology that we don’t distinguish between digital and analog. For this to become a reality we must first organize our use of technology in a “human” way.

I understand my project is imprac-tical and less than desired at the moment. But I believe I am more interested in the interfaces we inter-act with, rather than the application its self. If one designs a practical and simple system, all uses can be filtered though a common theory, code, and astatic, to create the “whole” its not focused on same-ness but more of a “blank sheet” or clean slate as the expression goes. The simple form and interaction would be personalized by the user, in theory this would make “same-ness” an idea rather than the form.

Original /I was very happy with the result of this logo, although it does feel like an InDesign logo. I believe the simple type fits the main idea behind iD.OS

Thumbprint_v1 /This was a fix to the InDesign feel of the original. I believe it could work but does not fit the idea of “sameness” its too organic.

Thumbprint_v2 /More uniform, but I don’t feel like it stresses the idea of iD.OS, still too organic, and to me the form is boring and has been done before.

Personalized /A user can choose to design there own logo or pic one from a bank of vector images making the icon reflect how they use iD.OS.

EXAMPLE / ME

The final out come is a simple intuitive application that allows a user to cus-tomize ones social iD. The sameness became a con-cept for the workings of the application. All your online feeds in one application, al-lows for quick viewing. The tab system allows users to filter their results creating a browser like experience with out the browser. I am happy with the end result, I feel like I pushed myself to design a complex system in a simple way. Although the project is still just a concept, I believe it is forward thinking of how users will interact with future mobile interfaces.
