Location Ideas For my music video I will be filming in or around the city of Hull. Hull hosts a historic looking Old Town with cobbled streets and thin alleyways. This would be a interesting looking location. In my music video I would like to use abstract views that relate to the lyrics “God I want to get rid of it” therefore a sequence in my video where my character is running down a cobbled street I think I would look visually dynamic. Or the choice of the girl running into a field is the idea I like the most. Dark room with spotlight used to do abstract ideas. Will be used as a device to show emotion and will be mostly where the abstract and slight performance will come into the music video. This will be achieved in rather the green room at my college using college lighting or in my own bedroom at home. Another location will be in a bedroom, mainly in a bed. This will happen in the beginning sequence and show the start of the narrative that happens in the video.

Costume IdeasThe first costume needed is a nightwear for when she wakes up, most probably going to use shorts to show the girls feminine legs and to use sex appeal which will be for the male gaze which is the view of Laura Mulvey. Then as she is running she will grab her fur coat
Makeup IdeasThe idea behind the video’s make up comes from inspiration from the Black Swan, with winged affect to make the artist look really edgy and dramatic, this also will have the connotations of the women going mad, which happens in the film, this will also happen in my music video as she thinks is happening when she wakes up to her partner having completely blacked out eyes. To not make the make up look to dramatic the girl is going to have nude lips. The use of glitter will show the girly and feminine side to my character and also bring out grungy and punky themes relating to my genre of music.
Prop IdeasMost of my props will be used in the abstract sequence of my music video. The idea of colours and drugs will relate with my genre.
