Celtic artCeltic art was an art form which ran from the Iron age 1000bc till the Roman Empire conquered the Celtic people. The art is often symmetrical and based on knots or interlocking shapes. The symbols in Celtic art have been linked to both paganism and Christianity. Celts or Celtic people occupied most of what is now known as Europe including the UK and Ireland. The Celtic people traded goods across the different countries including jewellery and art works.

In this project you will look at different aspects of Celtic art and develop your own art work based on the things you view.
