How Do I Find My ID# and PIN?

The Difference

• In CAMEO (our library catalog) you may often be asked for either your:– Andrew ID

• This is your alpha-numeric account name which you also use for Email and WebISO functions

– Carnegie Mellon ID• This is the 9 digit number found at the bottom left of your

Carnegie Mellon ID card

– PIN• Your PIN is the last four digits of your Carnegie Mellon ID

number, as mentioned above

Where They Are Needed

• Your ID# and/or PIN are used for several library services.

• These include:– Library Account Management

• Renewing Books

– Requesting Checked Out Items

– Using E-Z Borrow (Interlibrary Loan)

To find your ID# simply take out your Carnegie Mellon ID card.

At the bottom left corner you will see two numbers.

The lower 9 digit number is your ID.

For instance, the PIN here is 5678

Your PIN is made up of the last 4 digits of your ID number
