What simple art can we create from paper towel tubes, paint and glue ?

With the help of my neighbors- who are 5 and 6 years old, I wanted to explore what we could create from the paper towel tubes. The girls shared that they had previously made butterflies, binoculars, and even small Pinatas from recycled paper tubes. They were interested in painting and creating something new.

First, we painted the tubes and then when they dried, we cut the tubes to make the

cars.

To make the flower, we cut the painted tubes into small oval pieces. The girls helped to arrange the shapes loosely to form the flower shape on a stem. Then we glued them to make the pattern.
