After being discharged, icebergs start a long journey south where a tiny fraction of this renewable natural resource is harvested, before they finally melt into the ocean. For hundreds of years, local populations have harvested water from icebergs as they drift along the coastline for their purity and natural healing properties. Following this tradition ICEBERG delicately harvests a small number of icebergs each year, under license from the Canadian government, capturing this pristine natural gift before it is lost to the ocean.

ICEBERG’S PURITYThe iceberg water used for ICEBERG Water has the lowest mineral content of any water, resulting in a noticeably smooth and neutral taste. TheThe amount of minerals dissolved in a product is defined as TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) which is measured in parts per million (ppm or mg/l). The taste of water is determined by its mineral content and besides mouthfeel, TDS is the most important factor when combining food with water. With its low mineral content of only 9 TDS, ICEBERG Water is ideal for pairing with rare and fine liquids such as single malts to ensure the ultimate flavour experience.malts to ensure the ultimate flavour experience.

THE HARVESTINGFor thousands of years, icebergs have naturally detached from the Canadian Arctic ice shelf and floated south. They travel between five to seven years to Newfoundland where approximately 1,500 pass along the coastline each season (May-September).

SmallSmall sections are harvested under license by the local population of Newfoundland to capture the natural purity hidden within. All ICEBERG products are bottled at source, in its natural environment of St John's, Newfoundland. This guarantees that the freshness of the water is maintained and also helps support the local economy by offering employment opportunities to the local population.

AllAll iceberg water is routinely laboratory checked and further bacteriological analysis is done by independent laboratories. With each delivery of ICEBERG Water comes a detailed report.

THE WATERICEBERG Water is natural purity, harvested in its natural environment. After being collected in special tanks, the iceberg ice is allowed to melt at ambient sea temperature of sub 6 degrees Celcius, floating in the Port Union harbour of Newfoundland.

WhenWhen the water is transferred from the harbour, it is filtered numerous time through a UV filter and a 5 micro filter, before it finally enters the bottle.
