• Select the level of detail on which to examine performance data

• Visually display performance information

IPLA and Subscription and Support considerations

IPLA licenses can be transferred from one machine to another within, but not limited to anenterprise. You may aggregate the capacity for all the processors the product is operated on toachieve a more economic price. This will result in a single Proof of Entitlement (PoE). It is yourresponsibility to manage the distribution of Value Units within the limits of the entitlement of theproduct license.

Subscription and Support must cover the same capacity as the product license entitlement.Subscription and Support will be available in the country in which the agreement is made.

Software requirements for extending an existing Eclipse IDE

To install IBM Rational Functional Tester into an existing eclipse, the version of the existingeclipse should be 3.4.1, or higher.

To extend an existing Eclipse IDE, you also require a JRE from one of the following Javadevelopment kits:

• For Windows: IBM 32-bit SDK for Windows, Java 2 Technology Edition, Version 6 or Sun Java2 Standard Edition 6

• For Linux: IBM 32-bit SDK for Linux on Intel architecture, Java 2 Technology Edition, Version6 or Sun Java 2 Standard Edition 6

Note: You might need to update your Eclipse version in order to install updates to IBM RationalFunctional Tester. Refer to the update's release documentation for information on changes to theprerequisite Eclipse version.

The products in this version of the IBM Rational Software Delivery Platform were developed foruse with version 3.4, or later, of the Eclipse integrated development environment (IDE). You canonly extend an existing Eclipse IDE of version 3.4 with latest updates from eclipse.org.

Charge metrics definitions

Processor Value Unit (PVU)

PVU is the unit of measure by which this program is licensed. PVU entitlements are basedon processor families (vendors and brands). A Proof of Entitlement (PoE) must be obtainedfor the appropriate number of PVUs based on the level or tier of all processor cores activatedand available for use by the program on the server. Some programs allow licensing to lessthan the full capacity of the server's activated processor cores, sometimes referred to as sub-capacity licensing. For programs which offer sub-capacity licensing, if a server is partitionedutilizing eligible partitioning technologies, then a PoE must be obtained for the appropriatenumber of PVUs based on all activated processor cores available for use in each partitionwhere the program runs or is managed by the program. Refer to the International PassportAdvantage Agreement Attachment for Sub-Capacity Terms or the program's License Informationto determine applicable sub-capacity terms. The PVU entitlements are specific to the programand may not be exchanged, interchanged, or aggregated with PVU entitlements of anotherprogram.

Server

Server is the unit of measure by which this program is licensed. A server is a computer systemthat executes requested procedures, commands, or applications to one or more user or clientdevices. A Proof of Entitlement (PoE) must be obtained for each server regardless of the numberof processor cores or partitions in the server on which the program runs or each server managedby the program. Where blade technology is employed, each blade is considered a separateserver.

Authorized user

Authorized user is the unit of measure by which this program is licensed. An authorized useris an individual (named or unnamed) within or outside of your enterprise. The program may beinstalled on one or more computers or servers and accessed by the number of users authorizedby the Proof of Entitlement (PoE). You must have an entitlement for each authorized useraccessing the program or any program component in any manner directly or indirectly (forexample, via a multiplexing program, device, or application server) through any means.

Floating user

You may utilize the program, including installation of the program on multiple servers, providedthat use of the program occurs via a license server, and the total number of concurrent usersdoes not exceed the total number of floating user licenses obtained for the program.

Program technical support

Technical support of a program product will be available for a minimum of five years from thegeneral availability date, as long as your Software Maintenance is in effect. This technicalsupport allows you to obtain assistance (via telephone or electronic means) from IBM for

product-specific, task-oriented questions regarding the installation and operation of the programproduct. Software Maintenance also provides you with access to updates, releases, and versionsof the program. You will be notified, via announcement letter, of discontinuance of support with12 months' notice. If you require additional technical support from IBM, including an extensionof support beyond the discontinuance date, contact your IBM representative or IBM BusinessPartner. This extension may be available for a fee.

Money-back guarantee

If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the program and you are the original licensee, youmay obtain a refund of the amount you paid for it, if within 30 days of your invoice date youreturn the program and its PoE to the party from whom you obtained it.
