If students have a hard time in IB prep classes, look at strategies and look for supports, then make choices

Supports: After school tutoring in Library - M, W, Th - Tutoring during Advisory by 11th and 12th graders - AVID

IB curriculum will be taught in all grades and levels by 2010

Relationships with MIC, IGC, and other international minded groups

Diploma, Honors, or Certificates?

Enrollment in IB classes the most important benefit Certificates - take exams in 1-3 classes (some credit

available) Honors - 4 exams, 75 hours CAS, TOK, Speech - more

credit available, and HPSH recognition guaranteed Diploma - 6 exams, 150 CAS, TOK, Extended Essay,

more credit guaranteed, and HPSH recognition

What kind of credit?

Diploma: Uof M, 30 credits Northwestern - 4 credits for HL, 5 or higherUBC, Carleton, Grinnell, U Madison, also

- $$ U of Arizona - 75% scholarship, U of Nebraska - 100%- McGill - recognition in acceptance and scholarship

Honors

4 credits per HL exam, depending on score and college

2 credits at some schools for SL exams

Recognition in admissions, place in TOK class and Honors assembly senior year
