How to access podcasts on iTunes
iTunes

The software
• Once the software is installed on your computer, open the iTunes store.
Country setting
• Your automatic default will be the New Zealand iTunes store.
• To change this setting, scroll to the bottom of the page.
Change county
• Choose a country from the pop up menu.
iTunes Deutschland
• It takes a minute to change country.
• iTunes is now in German.
• Scroll back to the top.
Go to Podcasts
• Take your cursor to the top left window and click on Podcasts.
German Podcasts
• Podcasts are grouped in different categories, e.g. education, children, music art, sports. Other windows show new and recommended podcasts or the top 10.
Listen to Podcasts
• To listen to a podcast, click on the icon. This will lead you to a new page with information on the podcasts, website, customer reviews etc. Click on get episode to listen without subscribing.
Subscribing to Podcasts
• To subscribe to a podcast, click on the subscribe button (abonnieren in German).
Subscribe
• You will be asked to confirm your subscription.
Podcast Library
• The podcast will start downloading to your library.
• If you subscribe to the podcast new episodes will be automatically downloaded to your library.
The icon
• Some podcasts provide information under the icon. This ranges from titles to summaries to whole transcripts of the podcast.
Playing podcast
• Podcasts can be played on the computer.
• Or they can be uploaded to an iPod (mp3 player).
Quicktime
• Quicktime offers a number of valuable features for the use of podcasts.
• Playing an audio or video in Quicktime allows you to vary the speed.

• The speed can be changed with the cursor on Playback Speed.
Editing Podcasts
• With Quicktime Pro (US$30) you can save podcasts in different formats and edit the files.

paste audio and video files just like a word document.
