CRICKETAN ACTIVITY
I LOVE DOING
‘I Started playing cricket from the age of 4 and is something I love doing on weekends and whenever I find any opportunity to play. Cricket is a stress buster for me and acts like a medicine. Hence I love Cricket as it teaches how to be patient, united, fit, physical, dedicated and active. Its a lovely feeling to win games for your team and my passion for game has given me the blisses of life and the tactic to face people.’
ABOUT ME
HOW DOES CRICKET HELP IN PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL GROWTH
Long term Planning A leader in the corporate world like the captain of a cricket team helps me builds strategies, forecasting not only the rival’s next move but also leading the team’s hard work in battling against any unanticipated challenge that may arise on my way
Performance Under Pressure
There is a lot of pressure
where you have to chase the
target with less wickets in
hand. This helps me achieving my
professional targets and working under pressure thereby
boosting my confidence level.
Team Spirit
Cricket players don’t play for themselves but they play for the team. While in the game it’s not just the bowler, fielders or batsman who wins the match alone – it’s the team effort that matters. Similarly, when at work, I should work not only towards meeting my own targets but also the common interests of the team.
Take Charge
While there is a strategy that if I decide to bowl on the spot to change the strategy or the captain comes up with a new plan at the last moment based on the scenario, It’s critical for me to develop the ability to think and work on the same concept and this only comes from years of experience.
Right Attitude
• Winning is not the key. Playing the game with the right attitude is. At work if I might face failure like clients leaving, deals breaking and opportunities being missed. What makes a difference is when I take things sportingly, move on and bounce back to do better the next time and this is what cricket teaches me.
Focus
You need a lot of focus when you are facing the ball because one loss of focus leads to fall of your wicket. Similarly if you loose your focus towards your work, you might end up with debasing your professional path
