To navigate throughout the course, use the following items:
To go forward, use the next arrow. To go backward, use the back arrow. To travel to specific page, the menu on the left. To exit the course you the “x” button in the top left corner of the screen.

The power button is located in the upper right hand corner of the I-pad. To turn on the I-Pad hold this button down until the apple appears on the screen. Locate the small circle button on the bottom center of the I-pad. This button can be pushed at anytime and it will take you back to the home screen.

Text/Audio Narration: Locate the volume control button and volume silencer on the I-pad. The buttons are located on the right hand top corner of the I-Pad. The top button is the Volume Silencer which eliminates all volume of the IPad. The next button lets you control more volume or less by pressing up or down to make these changes.

Text/Audio Narration: These pictures gives you examples of terms we will use throughout the tutorial to run the I-pad. The first one is a tap, as you can see it is placing your finger on the screen and removing quickly. The next one is a Double Tap same thing but you are tapping twice on the screen. The last one is a Swipe, Drag, Flick motion. Place your finger the screen and drag it across the screen. Before we move on practice these on your I-pad now.

Apps are self-contained programs or pieces of software designed to fulfill a particular purpose; an application, usually downloaded by a user to a mobile device.

Text/Audio Narration: To open an App you are going to use a “Tap” and tap directly on the app you would like to open. Let’s try this. Take your finger and tap on the app labeled settings. Once you have tapped on it, it should take you inside this app. Gto return to the Home Screen you must push the Home Button. Do that now.

Text/Audio Narration: Oh, no the screen is Black! What do I do know? No need to worry this can be easily fixed. If the screen is black the first thing you need to do it click on the Home button. If the screen turns back on you may proceed on. If it does not the battery is probably dead.

Text/Audio Narration: I am at the Home Screen and I see some Apps but the one I want is missing? What do I do? As you acquire apps they are added to the next available page. To locate apps that are not on the Home Screen you must Swipe, Drag, Flick. To get to the next page. Tap on screen, drag your finger in the direction you want to go and more apps should appear. Try this function now.

Text/Audio Narration: Once you have located the app you want, you must tap on the app and a box will come up with all the information regarding this app. Next you will tap on the Install app button on the app screen (if the app cost money the cost will be in the blue box or if no cost it will say free). Last you will be promoted to enter in your password.

Text/Audio Narration: Once you have started the installation process, you will need to tap on the Home Screen button. From this screen you should see the App with an icon under it that says ”waiting” the app will appear dark in color. Once the app is loaded in will read the correct name under the icon and it will be in full color.
