Mickey, the blond leader of the attractive young group from Horida, describes their music at “top 40” commercial and standards but it sounds much better than he modestly puts It. Judy Leigh, the long-haired, husky voiced singer Is in New York for the first time and loves it. She comes from a family of five kids and was working in a boutique in Florida and singing at a small club when Mickey first heard her, liked her voice and asked her to Join the group. Skip McCollum, the third member of the trio, is from an Air Force family and has lived in 15 different states. He’s just out of the Navy after four years and hopes to go back to Japan to visit next year. He’s always been a sailor and takes liis Sunfish out In Peconic Bay most mornings. He and Judy are both artists, she in oils and he in pen and ink and acrylics. They all love the scenery and the friendly people they’ve met at the Hideaway Lounge and as Mickey says. “We’re all water- bugs, so we really like It here”. They’re handsome, wholesome and sound good. Beach Ass’n.
