Discussion Items

• Integrated Corridor Management will more closely align freeway operations and arterial street operations in Metro Detroit.

• Increased emphasis on arterial operations was one of the objectives that emerged from the Regional Concept of Transportation Operations for Metro Detroit.

• Integrated Corridor Management provides the opportunity to proactively improve and maximize the performance of the transportation system by serving as an alternative to traditional major infrastructure investments which may be more expensive or constrained by environmental issues.
