Comunicación de Rumania

Con respecto al examen de la solicitud de adhesión al Protocolo relativo a las negociaciones comerciales entre países en desarrollo presentada por Rumania, el Comité de Países Participantes, reunido en abril de 1977, acordó entre otras cosas invitar a la delegación de ese país a que presentara información estadística rela-tiva a los productos que figuran en su oferta (CPC/UO, párrafo 6); §

En respuesta a la mencionada invitación, se ha recibido de la delegación de Rumania la comunicación siguiente, de fecha 27 de mayo, y las estadísticas adjuntas.

Cabe observar a este respecto que el Comité acordó que, a partir de la fecha de distribución de los datos estadísticos y demás información solicitada (CPC/W/U6), los países participantes dispondrían de cuarenta y cinco días (es decir, hasta el 21 de julio) para hacer constar su interés en entablar negociaciones con Rumania.

La Misión Permanente de la República Socialista de Rumania presenta sus respetos a la Secretaría del GATT y, con referencia al Protocolo relativo a las negociaciones comerciales entre países en desarrollo, tiene el honor dé enviarle adjuntas las estadísticas de importación (1976) relativas a los productos objeto de la oferta presentada por Rumania con el fin de entablar las negociaciones arancelarias para su adhesión a dicho Protocolo.
