Please continue to remember that they are not expectations and just some activities to support you while you are at home. We would love to see how you are getting on, so please feel free to email your class teacher with any pieces of work you would like to share with us. Take care and stay safe. We miss you all! Mrs Jackson, Mrs Lawrence, Miss Leamore & Miss Miller Writing activity ideas: Over the next few weeks we thought it would be fun to carry on with our rainforest re- search. We would like you to research and write about your favourite rainforest animal. Once you have researched it, you could write a fact file all about it! Don't forget to include - * A main heading. * Sub- headings. * Pictures. You can choose how you would like to record your fact file. Some examples are: * A booklet * A simple fact sheet in a poster format I have also included my own example fact file about sloths. Sloths are my favourite rainforest animal. There is also a fact file writing template to help, if needed, but don't feel like you have to use it. Here are some websites to also help too: hps://www.animalfactsencyclopedia.com/Rainforest-animals.html hps://classroom.google.com/u/3/w/NTU4ODA5NDAzNzBa/t/all Happy writing and remember in school we would take a whole week to write it so would only write a little bit of it each day.

Hello Year 1 and 2
On this home learning sheet we have provided you with some ideas for learning while you are at home over the next week.
Please continue to remember that they are not expectations and just some
activities to support you while you are at home.
We would love to see how you are getting on, so please feel free to email your class teacher with any pieces of work you would like to share with us.
Take care and stay safe.
We miss you all!

Writing activity ideas:
Over the next few weeks we thought it would be fun to carry on with our rainforest re-search. We would like you to research and write about your favourite rainforest animal.
Once you have researched it, you could write a fact file all about it!
Don't forget to include -
* A main heading.
* Sub- headings.
* Pictures.
You can choose how you would like to record your fact file.
Some examples are:
* A booklet
* A simple fact sheet in a poster format
I have also included my own example fact file about sloths. Sloths are my favourite rainforest animal. There is also a fact file writing template to help, if needed, but don't feel like you have to use it. Here are some websites to also help too:
This week draw a picture of yourself using the rainbow theme to give thanks to all our key workers.
• Create your own rainforest in a box or a bottle
Can you create your own rainforest? You can be as creative as you like, you can use anything you have to make it. Here are some pictures to help you.
Reading:
Please continue with the Reading Bingo this week, we have attached it for you again.
READING BINGO!
There is a bingo sheet attached.
How many squares can you tick off? Will you get a full house?
Have fun playing reading bingo and let us know how you get on.
Happy reading!
Maths:
This week we would love you to practise your number bonds. Year 1 should focus on number bonds to 10 and Year 2 should focus on number bonds to 20 and 100.
We would also like you to look at number facts. Year 1 will be focussing on number facts to 10 and Year 2 to 20 and 100.
We have attached some power points to the website to support you.
Science: What does a plant/flower need to grow?
We have been really impressed with your excellent science learning at home! This week we would like you to tell us what a plant needs to grow.
Create a poster to tell us what a plant needs to grow successfully.
• We have also put some activities onto Purple Mash which your child has a log in for.
• Any problems email your class teacher who will be happy to help.
Extra challenge: Dance to make yourself happy!
Using the music below have some fun and dance. If you would like to we would love you to record yourself dancing along to the song (a few minutes will be great). If enough of you take part and send us your videos we may even put a compilation video together to share with you all. Happy dancing everyone.
