The installation may vary for your vehicle, so it may be necessary to consult the service manual for your year model. Be advised: These instructions may not include specifics for all vehicle configurations. Tools Needed: 10mm nut driver or socket, #1 Phillips screwdriver, and Trim Removal Tools 1a. This step makes sure that the programmer has the latest firmware installed. If Tuner Update Software is not already installed on your PC, go to our website and download the update software. Connect the Speedometer Calibrator to your PC with the supplied USB cable, run the update software and click the Update Tuner button. You may be prompted to select the correct configuration file for your vehicle. 1b. Once configuration is complete, connect the Speedometer Calibrator module to the harness and take it to the vehicle. 1.Set Parking brake and adjust steering column to facilitate removal of Instrument Cluster. 2. Place masking tape, a towel or t-shirt over column and wiper stalk to prevent scratches.

Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator Module Installation Instructions
PN730123 2016 Toyota Tacoma This installation manual shows an example installation on Toyota Tacoma vehicles. 3a. Using your fingers, grasp Radio Bezel on upper-right hand side and gently pull forward, releasing the clips.
3b. Grasp bottom of Radio Bezel and pull gently, working your way along the bottom until it comes free.

3c. Grasp Instrument Cluster Bezel on upper-left hand side and gently pull forward, releasing the clips.
3d. Once released, move to the right-hand side of the Instrument Cluster bezel and pull, releasing the clips then remove completely.

4. With access to the Instrument Cluster achieved, remove the (4) 10mm bolts that attach the Instrument Cluster to the dash.
5a. To access rear of Instrument Cluster, slide the bottom forward, so that the back of the Cluster is resting on top of steering column

5b. Now gently rotate Instrument Cluster up and out, to the right side, so that access to the connectors on the back are possible.
6. Disconnect the larger connector on the passenger side of the Instrument Cluster and plug the Female end of the Inline-Speedometer Module harness in place.

12. Connect the male end of the Speedometer Calibrator Harness to the factory wiring harness.
13. Tuck Speedometer Module, so that it rests on top of the air duct piping, then gently slide the Instrument Cluster back. While doing this reach behind the Instrument Cluster and route wiring so that it sits flush against the mounts and does not pinch the wires. 14. Reverse the removal process to install the Instrument Cluster. 15. Start Vehicle and check for any warning signs or messages. 16. Test drive vehicle to ensure proper Speedometer function. 17. Enjoy the drive!
