Now we have developed the nextgeneration: AQUAFIN-IC-ADMIX-Plus.

AQUAFIN-IC-ADMIX-Plusis the first cry-stalline admixture with added hydrophobicproperties that creates concrete which isinstantly water resistant.

Both products are based on innovativecrystalline technology which reacts withmoisture and free lime, creating millions ofnanocrystals. The crystalls grow throughoutthe concrete matrix, sealing the voids andmaking the concrete structure waterproof yetbreathable.

Unlike powder admixtures, AQUAFIN-IC-ADMIXand AQUAFIN-IC-ADMIX-Pluscompletely eliminate the risk of clumping,and ensure even distribution of the water-proofing throughout the concrete structure.They can be added to concrete during thebatching process at the concrete plant or at

the construction site to a ready-mix truck withfull mixing capabilities.

AQUAFIN-IC-ADMIXand AQUAFIN-IC-ADMIX-Plusbecome a permanent, integralpart of the concrete, extremely resistant tohigh hydrostatic pressure. In addition towaterproofing, they significantly increasethe freeze-thaw resistance of concrete, whileprotecting reinforcement from the corrosiveeffects of moisture.

ADMIX-Plussubstantially reduce the amountof time and labor associated with applyingtraditional waterproof coatings, making aperfect waterproofing solution for largeconcrete structures.

As the chemistry within AQUAFIN-IC-ADMIXand AQUAFIN-IC-ADMIX-Plusseals thecapillary pores within the concrete, the samereaction occurs within static shrinkage cracks(up to 1/64 - 0.4 mm).

As water finds its way into the cracks, thecrystalline reaction is activated, forming nanocrystals within the crack which seals it and pvents further flow of water.

During a comprehensive trial, concrete cubeswere created using AQUAFIN-IC-ADMIXand AQUAFIN-IC-ADMIX-Plus. Cracks wecreated in the cubes, which were then placedinto testing equipment and subjected to constwater pressure.

yed an automatic crack self sealing effect ocracks from 0.2 to 0.4 mm within a reasonatime frame. In contrast, the cracks in the contcubes (which were created without any additives and subjected to the same testing) did ndisplay a reduction in water penetration ratesor self sealing of cracks.

Test results prove that adding AQUAFIN-IC-ADMIXor AQUAFIN-IC-ADMIX-Plus toconcrete reduces water penetration by up to60%, as illustrated. Control cubes experiencwater penetration rates of up to 10 mm (0.4while the AQUAFIN treated cubes only had penetration rates of max. 2 mm (0.08).
