Contractors Involved: Seaspan - Vancouver Dry Dock Industrial Surface Tech - Thermal Coang Repair Rolls-Royce Marine - Pre & Finish Machining Hydraulic Rudder Steering Gear - Housing Repair Bulk Carrier - “MV Ultra Corbita” Aſter removal and disassembly by Seaspan, the housing was pre machined at Rolls-Royce Marine. Industrial Surface Technologies applied a Thermal Coang Repair. Rolls-Royce then did finish machining and assembly. Unit was reinstalled by Seaspan. Principal Surveyor: Bureau Veritas (Canada) Inc. Damaged occurred at the boom of housing which allowed some bypassing of the hydraulics. This caused steering problems and the vessel had to put into dry dock for repairs.
