'18. Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, or any other law for the time being in force, if any permanent tenant, protected tenant or non-protected tenant has, prior to the date of vesting, paid any consideration to the Inamdar for obtaining the right of possession and said amount is equal to 6 0 % or more of the premium chargeable under Sections 6, 7 and 8, he would be entitled to the deduction only to the extent of 6 0 % and if the said amount is less than 6 0 % of the premium he would be entitled to deducation to the extent of the amount actually paid by him. The amount so deducted from the premium shall be adjusted towards the com* pensation payable to the Inamdar under sub-section ($%) of section 12'."

54 (1) No punishment of whipping shall be innicted in instalments or except in the presence of the Superintendent and Medical Omcer or his Subordinate.
(2) Whipping shall be inflicted with a light ratan and not less than half an inch in diameter on the tmr.tocks, and in case of prisioners under the age of sixteen it shall be infhcted in the wap of school discipline, with a lighter ratan.
