skyfall Hybrid Brassica WHY CHꝃSE SKYFA? Skyfall is a new Hybrid brassica bred for feeding livestock. Skyfall can provide a nutrious feed for dairy and beef cows in the summer and autumn, with later drilled crops providing feed through the winter months. Skyfall has the ability to produce two crops, a main crop and through its hybrid vigour, a second regrowth crop. For the best results drill into a firm moist seedbed in May - July at 5 kilos per hectare. To ensure maximum yield apply ferliser into the seedbed at 40 - 60 kilos Nitrogen per hectare. Skyfall will benefit from slurry and farm yard manure applicaons prior to drilling. May drilled crops should be ready to graze in 12 weeks and produce approx. 35-40 tonnes of leafy forage per hectare. Regrowth can be achieved by “back fencing” the inial crop and retaining some leaf and growing points to allow regrowth to occur. The regrowth should be ready to ulise 8 -10 weeks from the first grazing.
