Contingency serviceWe offer a contingency-based recruitment service whereby you only pay for the successful placement of a candidate. This is the traditional recruitment model you are probably used to. We conduct a detailed search of our database, personal networks and other resources to fi nd the right candidate for your vacancy. Before any candidates are submitted we make sure that they closely match the details given by the client. We have a large database of skilled, experienced construction professionals and our commitment is to fi ll your vacancy with the very best candidate.

Managed Advertising CampaignThis recruitment solution will generate candidates for your vacancy by advertising on your behalf in pre-agreed media. The adverts can be branded with your company logo as well as ours, or for confi dentiality just branded under the Humres banner. This approach guarantees a coordinated, well organised administration of the advertising response together with an effi cient and professional service for screening potential candidates.

Retained Recruitment ServiceHumres Recruitment is able to act as a fully outsourced recruitment function for your construction company. After a detailed consultation we can conduct recruitment on your behalf and tailor the service to meet your specifi c recruitment needs.

With a retained assignment we generally ask that you pay one-third of the fee at commencement of the assignment; one-third upon delivery of a short list; and the balance upon placement of the candidate.

Our Recruitment Procedure - Steps

Step 1: AssessmentWhere you tell us what you need and we take a detailed brief. Due to our signifi cant recruitment and construction sector experience we know the questions to ask to make sure this doesn’t take up too much of your time.

Step 2: Specifi cation and ResearchHere we will drill into the specifi cs of your vacancy, your business and your goals. We will prepare a written job description, adverts, and the criteria needed for the ideal candidate.

Step 3: Identifi cationWe will pro-actively scout the market for suitable candidates using our close industry ties, personal contacts and extensive database and candidate sourcing techniques. You will be kept informed of progress with regular status updates.

Step 4: EvaluationOur consultants will gather a short list of suitable candidates and conduct initial screening interviews. They will be evaluated on the basis of their experience and their potential to fi t within your organisation.

Step 5: PresentationYou will be presented with confi dential written reports on the candidates that we feel are best suited to your company and project. You will only receive 3 or 4 candidates who most closely fi t your specifi cation to save you time.

Step 6: InterviewsA mutually convenient time for a meeting between you and each of your chosen candidates will be arranged so that you can assess their suitability for yourself. After the interviews, we will contact each candidate for feedback and report back to you with their comments.

Step 7: HireOnce all interview stages have been completed and you have chosen your preferred candidate we will deal with the job offering stage. Upon acceptance we will ensure they are successfully on-boarded into your organisation.

Building EnvelopeWe place operational, technical and commercial roles from graduate level to board level within the building envelope sector. This encompasses professionals who work on all aspects of the building envelope including but not limited to: curtain walling, industrial roofing, cladding, rainscreen, glazing, flat roofing, and bespoke steel and glass structures.

Working with some of the world’s leading specialist contractors, consultancies and manufacturers we are able to offer some exceptional opportunities within this very active and growing industry; as well as providing specialist, highly sought after exclusive candidates to our client base.

Mechanical & ElectricalM&E Building Services is a broad term that covers a wide variety of specialisms. We work predominately within the disciplines that are concerned with mechanical and electrical engineering. This entails both the initial installation of these services and the maintenance following on through their useful life. In terms of gross turnover and number of candidates it is probably the largest sub contract market there is with an increasing demand for highly skilled personnel.

Within the M&E division we have access to well over 10,000 candidates and more than 3,000 potential clients. These contacts consist of M&E contractors, HVAC contractors, Building Management System contractors, M&E consultants and the specialist Main Contractors and end clients who employ their services.

DemolitionDemolition is a highly skilled industry that requires specialist professionals, such as those who have risen through the ranks, entered as graduates, or members of the institute of demolition engineers. Demolition requires great attention to detail due to the nature of the work; therefore we pride ourselves in supplying only the very best candidates in the industry.

At Humres we are able to deliver specialist demolition candidates to cover all domestic, commercial and industrial sectors from both contracting and consultancy backgrounds. This includes candidates with experience in land remediation, decommissioning, decontamination, diamond drilling, waste management and asbestos removal.

ScaffoldingScaffolding services are as important as any other in the construction industry. The risks involved in scaffolding are high; as such it is a specialist industry that requires well-trained individuals. In addition to scaffolding candidates we can provide professionals who have experience in other services that fall under the scaffolding umbrella including insulation, cleaning, and blasting and painting, with both construction and maintenance experience.

PilingAt Humres Construction we work with a host of innovative and dynamic piling contractors operating across the UK and Worldwide. We can deliver engineers (both technical and operational), estimators, operational managers, health and safety professionals, and designers; through to board level staff. The majority of the candidates we work with in this market are qualifi ed engineers.

Within the piling market we recruit across domestic, commercial and industrial sectors including marine, both offshore and inland. We can offer professionals who have experience with the various piling techniques from mini-piling to large diameter, rotary and retaining walls. We also cover geotechnics relating to site investigation, estimating and design in addition to professionals who can offer extra services, such as value engineering when brought into a project at an early stage.

InteriorsWe have established a team who exclusively cover all areas within the interiors sector. This gives us a distinct advantage over the competition and we have forged strong relationships with a variety of clients across the interiors market.

As such we are used to working with clients and candidates within design and build fi t-out, commercial and traditional fi t out, glazing, refurbishment, shop fi tting, ceiling and partitioning, catering installation, warehouses, hotels, education, furniture, leisure, museums, and small works.

StructuralWe have developed relationships with many of the leading timber engineering, structural steel, architectural metalwork, concrete repair, stone

restoration, steel framing systems and external wall insulation contractors and have access to numerous roles across these sectors.

Our structural team spends every day working within these areas, building new relationships, recruiting for new projects and providing candidates with great opportunities. We specialise in all roles within these markets from site foreman up the director level and have relationships with many of the leading sub-contractors.

Main ContractingProfessionals working within main contracting (also known as a general contractor or principal contractor) are responsible for the successful managing of a project site. We recruit for all sectors including but not limited to commercial, residential, leisure, education, industrial, rail, aviation, marine, highways and data centres.

Having a deep knowledge and understanding of the sub-contractor markets puts us in a very strong position to be able to service the main contractor sector. We recruit from the bottom up and are able to utilise our processes and contacts to fi ll roles from supervisor up to director level positions.

Fire & SecurityWe have a team of specialist recruiters who work exclusively in all areas of the Fire & Security industry. Over the years we have developed strong relationships with a broad range of clients in the industry and a huge data base of contacts. We are able to recruit for all positions within the sector from engineers up to senior management/director level roles.

Facilities ManagementWe have been recruiting within the facilities management sector for many years. As such we truly have an unrivalled understanding of the market and the people who work within it. Our experience has seen us work with national organisations as well as locally based SME’s. Some of the facilities management recruitment areas we cover include contract cleaning, manned guarding, contract catering, washroom services, water treatment, pest control, industrial cleaning, work wear hire and supply, and commercial laundry services.
