Ski Club, Lundrigan Drive, Corner Brook• Copper Mine to Cape Hiking Trail. Length: 3.8 km; Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult; Duration: 4-6 hrs. Route 450, York Harbour• Bottle Cove Hiking Trail. Length: 2 km; Difficulty: Easy; Duration: .5 Hr. Follow Route 450 to Little Port Road,

Harbour.• gillams Walking Trail. A beautiful trail that leads to a scenic waterfall. Main Street, Gillams.• McIvers Walking Trail. Length: 1-2 km. Route 440, McIver’s.• Cedar Cove Hiking Trail. Length: 1.8 km; Difficulty: Easy to Moderate; Duration: 2 hrs. Route 450, Lark Harbour.• Walking Trail of Deer lake. Walk along the shores and beautiful sandy beaches. Route 1, Deer Lake.• Governor’s Staircase. Blow Me Down Provincial Park. A 30-minute climb through 450 million year old volcanic rock.

Route 450, between Lark & York Harbour.• Steady Brook Falls Trail. From Route 1 take Exit 8, Steady Brook.• Big Falls Trail. Sir Richard Squires Memorial Provincial Park. A short walk from the day-use parking lot. In July & August you

can watch salmon trying to jump up the salmon ladder to get to further pools upstream to spawn. Route 422

• Steady Brook Falls. One of the Humber Valley’s most scenic features and can be seen up close by following a short trail. Behind George’s Mountain Village at the base of Marble Mountain, Steady Brook.

• The Viking ship. Used in the movie Outlander on display in Lark Harbour where the movie was filmed. Route 450, Lark Harbour. T: (709) 681-2270 E: [email protected]

• Meadows Point Lookout. Spectacular view of the Bay of Islands. 16 km from Route 1 on Route 440, Meadows. T: (709) 783-2339 E: [email protected]

• The rattler. A waterfall that tumbles into the sea. Route 440, McIvers. T: (709) 688-2603 E: [email protected]• Newfoundland & Labrador Heritage Tree. A Manning Award winner for heritage excellence. Exit 8 from Route 1,

Steady Brook. T: (709) 783-3257 E: [email protected]• The Man in the Mountain. According to local legend there is buried treasure on Shellbird Island in the Humber River.

If you look closely you will see the face of a man in the rock formation overlooking the island. The “Old Man in the Mountain” is said to be guarding the hidden treasure. Exit 7, TCH.
