New Hampshire Hunter Jumper Association NH Finals Show Information

Horses are allowed on the show grounds no earlier than 10:00am on Friday, October 8, 2010. Horses must be off the show grounds 1 hour after the show concludes on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010. Show starts promptly at 8:00am on all show days (Saturday & Sunday). Ticketed warm-ups are available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Please see the Schedule of

Events for specific times and fence heights. All entries accepted after Sunday, October 3, 2010 will be charged a post entry fee of $30.00

per entry. Post entries will be accepted if room allows. Limited Stabling – assigned on first come first serve basis and on a 3 to 1 ratio (horses to

feed/tack stalls). Stalls are $150.00 for the weekend if paid for on or before October 3, 2010. Stalls will increase

to $175.00 for the weekend if paid for after October 3, 2010. Any damage done to tent stalls will result in a $200.00 charge to horse’s owner or occupant of

that particular stall(s). No refunds on stalls, regardless if a doctor’s or veterinary note is presented and participant is

unable to show. NHHJA management reserves the right to limit entries or cancel any class, section or division,

to change, to add a dotted line, to cancel or combine any unfilled classes, or to reschedule classes, change rings or change specifications in jumper classes due to time constraints.

NHHJA horse shows abide by the rules and regulations of the New England Horsemen’s Council.

Finals. All checks for night watch can be made payable to Deb Wesoja.

2010 Finals Class Descr iptions

Lead Line Pleasure – Open to riders eight (8) years of age and younger. Participants are not allowed to show in any other class except for Lead Line Equitation and Lead Line Hunter Hack at the Finals. Leaders and side walkers must be over the age of fourteen (14) and formal dress is suggested. To be judged on suitability of pony and rider at the walk and trot. Entry fee: $20.00 Trophy and ten (10) ribbons Lead Line Equitation – Open to riders eight (8) years of age and younger. Participants are not allowed to show in any other class except for Lead Line Pleasure and Lead Line Hunter Hack at the Finals. Leaders and side walkers must be over the age of fourteen (14) and formal dress is suggested. To be judged on equitation at walk and trot. Entry fee: $20.00 Trophy and ten (10) ribbons Lead Line Hunter Hack – Open to riders eight (8) years of age and younger. The Stone Pony Junior Equitation Classic - fences not to exceed 2’6”. Open to any junior rider (under age 18) that has shown in any Equitation class with fences heights between 2’3” and 3’3”. Top four riders of class to be tested. Points accumulated at shows will count towards Year End award, rider must be present at Year End Banquet to receive award. Braiding not required. Entry fee: $40.00 Trophy and six (6) ribbons Eaton Berube Amateur Adult Equitation Classic - Fences not to exceed 2’6”. Open to any amateur adult rider that has shown in any NHHJA equitation over fences class with fence heights between 2’3” and 2’9”. Top 25% of riders to be tested at judge’s discretion. Scores to be announced after each rider completes course and test. Braiding not required. Entry fee: $40.00 Trophy and six (6) ribbons $100 18” Optimum Time Jumper – This class is designed for horses and riders who are new to the jumper divisions. Horse/rider combinations may not compete in any other jumper class at the 2010 NH Finals or any class in which fence heights exceed 2'3". To be shown one round only over a course or 8-10 fences not to exceed 18" with no combinations or oxers. Placing is determined by adding together faults incurred over the course for knockdowns and disobediences; there will be no time penalties. In the case of equality of faults, ties will be broken on the following basis: an "Optimum Time" will be posted on the course plan; the horse with the time on course closest to this Optimum Time (over or under) will prevail in the tie, next closest next, etc... For our purposes, the "NHHJA Optimum Time" will be calculated based on measurement of the course at a speed of 328 m/m (360 yd/min) Prize money to be awarded to the first (1st) through fourth (4th) place winners. Ribbons awarded up to eighth (8th) place. An award for the best turned out/coordinated horse & rider pair amongst the 18” Optimum Time Jumper, 2’3”-2’6” Optimum Time Jumper, and the 2’9” Jumper Gala will be awarded at the end of the 2’9” Jumper Gala. Entry fee: $40.00 Prize money: $50, $25, $15, $10 $100 2’3”-2’6” Optimum Time Jumper – This class is designed for horses and riders who are new to the jumper divisions. An award for the best turned out/coordinated horse & rider pair amongst the 18” Optimum Time Jumper, 2’3”-2’6” Optimum Time Jumper, and the 2’9” Jumper Gala will be awarded at the end of the 2’9” Jumper Gala. Entry fee: $75.00 Prize money: $125, $75, $60, $40 $500 3’-3’3” Jumper Classic - Open to any NHHJA member in good standing who has shown in at least one (1) jumper class at any NHHJA show throughout the 2010 season. To be shown over a course of eight (8) to twelve (12) fences. Fence heights not to exceed 3’3”. Table II.2.a/b (Rider may choose to jump-off in ring after faultless round or exit ring and jump-off at the end of first rounds) Prize money to be awarded to the first (1st) through sixth (6th) place winners. Ribbons awarded up to tenth (10th) place. Formal attire required. Entry fee: $75.00 Prize money 2’3” Equitation – Restricted to riders who have qualified for the NH Children’s Medal, NH Modified Adult Medal, and NH Pony Medal. Fence heights not to exceed 2’3”. Riders may not cross enter into any other equitation class at the 2010 NH Finals. Entry fee: $40.00 Trophy and eight (8) ribbons NH Children’s Medal – Junior riders must have qualified (accumulated 12 or more points in 2010) for the class in order to compete at the Finals and must not have shown over 2’6” at a rated show. NH Modified Adult Medal – Amateur riders must have qualified (accumulated 12 or more points in 2010) for the class in order to compete at the Finals. Riders cannot have shown over 2’6” at a rated show. Riders will be required to perform over a minimum of eight (8) fences with at least one change of direction. 25% of the class will be called back for testing. USEF tests 1-18. Fence heights not to exceed 2’3”. Entry fee: $75.00 Award, trophy, and ten (10) ribbons

NH Pony Medal – Junior riders must have qualified (accumulated 12 or more points in 2010) for the class in order to compete at the Finals. Riders will be required to perform over a minimum of eight (8) fences with at least one change of direction. 25% of the class will be called back for testing. USEF tests 1-18. Fence heights not to exceed 2’3” for small and medium ponies, and 2’6” for large ponies. Entry fee: $75.00 Award, trophy, and ten (10) ribbons Adult Equitation – Open to any amateur rider qualified for the NH Adult Medal class at the 2010 Finals. Fence heights not to exceed 2’9”. To be shown over a course with a minimum of eight (8) fences. Riders may not cross enter into any other equitation class at the 2010 NH Finals. Entry fee: $40.00 Trophy, and eight (8) ribbons NH Adult Medal – Amateur riders must have qualified (accumulated 12 or more points in 2010) for the class in order to compete at the Finals. Riders will be required to perform over a minimum of eight (8) fences with at least one change of direction. 25% of the class will be called back for testing. USEF tests 1-18. Fence heights not to exceed 2’9”. Entry fee: $75.00 Award, trophy, and ten (10) ribbons Equitation Under 15 – Open to Junior riders under 15 years of age that are qualified the NH Junior Medal class at the 2010 Finals. Fence heights not to exceed 2’6”. To be shown over a course with a minimum of eight (8) fences. Riders may not cross enter into any other equitation class at the 2010 NH Finals. Entry fee: $40.00 Trophy, and eight (8) ribbons Equitation 15 – 17 - Open to Junior riders between the show ages of 15 and 17 that have qualified for the NH Junior Medal class at the 2010 Finals. Fence heights not to exceed 3’. To be shown over a course with a minimum of eight (8) fences. Riders may not cross enter into any other equitation class at the 2010 NH Finals. Entry fee: $40.00 Trophy, and eight (8) ribbons

NH Junior Medal - Junior riders must have qualified (accumulated 12 or more points in 2010) for the class in order to compete at the Finals. Riders will be required to perform over a minimum of eight (8) fences with at least one change of direction. 25% of the class will be called back for testing. USEF tests 1-18. Fence heights not to exceed 3’. Entry fee: $75.00 Award, trophy, and ten (10) ribbons Best Barn Display – all displays at the 2010 Finals will be automatically entered and judged by the steward and show judge. The following will be taken into consideration when judging: most traditional and most creative. Judging to begin on Saturday, Oct. 9th at 8:00am. To be awarded on Sunday, Oct. 10th before the NH Team Challenge. No entry fee NH Team Challenge – Open to all junior and amateur riders qualified for a 2010 NH Medal and/or Hunter Classic. Each entrant will be assigned to a team. In the first phase, each team member will show over an equitation course at respective heights: 18” riders to go first and 2’3” riders to follow. Individual scores will be tallied (lowest score dropped) for each team. In the second phase, each team will collectively complete a written horsemanship exam. The exam will take place after the last rider completes their course. Exam scores will be added to the jumping tally to determine final placing. Entry fee: $35.00 Team ribbons up to 6th place Pony Hunter Pleasure Championship – Open to all ponies (14.2 hands and under) of hunter type ordinarily used for pleasure purposes with no limitations to status of rider. To be judged on performance, manners, quality, presence, suitability, and soundness. Entry fee: $35.00 Trophy and eight (8) ribbons Horse Hunter Pleasure Championship – Open to horses (14.3 hands and higher) of hunter type ordinarily used for pleasure purposes with no limitations to status of rider.
