    PRESIDENTS REPORT

Hope everyone had a merry Xmas and survived the New Year without too many headaches. We are already a month into a New Year and that makes only 11 months until you for-fill your New Year resolutions. If it was a new Z car that you decided for the New Year best to buy now in case you come to your senses, the more the merrier we say. We spent most of the time off working on cars which has resulted in our MK1 Zephyr now with one of those WOF stickers. All going well will be taking on next run to iron out any problems before the convention. With this one out of the way we have now started getting the V8 into the Mk3 so will have finished well before the next South Island convention. For those who intend to go on the Feb run look for the details further in the mag as it is an overnighter around Coromandel. The run has been talked about since we joined the club so many years in the making and sure to be a lot of fun. In March is the annual Te Awamutu classic car show that we have supported for many years, $3000 donated to the Air Ambulance last year so support a great cause. Easter is only around the corner so for those still working on your cars, the clock is ticking. Information that has been supplied suggests this will be a great weekend so see you there. We have not managed to sell yet but have had an interested party who lives up the road with 18 classic cars, and we didnt even know. Sometimes it is good to be a nosey neighbor, amazing what is in peoples sheds, maybe we could do a shed run? Make the most of the sunblock and we will catch up in Thames. Cheers Mike

At an organised meeting, heaps of like minded people had an awesome time, in an excellent venue close to hamilton. Talking about christmas dinner for Z car

Daves MK3 PROJECT Just a short note to let you know how the MK3 is coming along. Slowly but surely! We had it going the other day. Just a couple of minor issues but nothing major. It is getting the interior finished this week and then it is having an Intercooler mounted the following week. The Supercharger kept blowing the hose off the Throttle body. Hoping to have it on the road before Christmas. Almost 2 and a half years so far. But it is different. I put the Doors on it over the weekend and that is fine. Does anyone know where I can get New Bumper bolts from? I have tried everywhere! Dave and Betty Sutton In Sunny Tauranga ( Some pics I took last week )

    MIDDLE OF THE ROAD

Two Red Indians and an Irishman were walking through the woods. All of a sudden one of the Red Indians ran up a hill to the mouth of a small cave. 'Wooooo! Wooooo!

Wooooo!' he called into the cave and listened closely until he heard an answering, 'Wooooo! Wooooo! Woooooo! He then tore off his clothes and ran into the cave. The Irishman was puzzled and asked the remaining Indian what it was all about, 'Was the other Indian crazy or what?' The Indian replied 'No, It is our custom during mating season when Indian men see cave, they holler 'Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!' into the opening. If they get an answer back, it means there's a beautiful squaw in there waiting for us... Just then they came upon another cave. The second Indian ran up to the cave, stopped, and hollered, 'Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!' Immediately, there was the answer. 'Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!' from deep inside. He also tore off his clothes and ran into the opening. The Irishman wandered around in the woods alone for a while, and then spied a third large cave. As he looked in amazement at the size of the huge opening, he was thinking, 'Hoo, man! Look at the size of this cave! It is bigger than those the Indians found. There must be some really big, fine women in this cave!' He stood in front of the opening and hollered with all his might 'Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!' Like the others, he then heard an answering call, 'WOOOOOOOOO, WOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOO!'

With a gleam in his eye and a smile on his face, he raced into the cave, tearing off his clothes as he ran. The following day, the headline of the local newspaper read............... NAKED IRISHMAN RUN OVER BY TRAIN!!!
