The Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery is located at 1 Barolin Street on the corner of Quay Street, near Australia Post in the Bundaberg CBD. Stalls will be placed at various locations in Gallery One, Gallery Two, The Green Room and the Access Studio, and may be extended into the adjacent park. No alcohol or illicit drugs will be tolerated on Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery grounds. The Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery is also a non-smoking facility. 7. All stallholders must observe any parking restrictions in the area. 8. Notification of non-attendance (e.g. due to illness) is required prior to the event commencing.

REGULATIONS

1.

PURPOSE

All interested stallholders will need to submit an application form to be considered for a stall at the Sunday Art Market and understand and agree to the regulations outlined here.

9. Stallholders are responsible for the cleanliness of their stall and removal of rubbish.

10. Stallholders must be over the age of 18 years at Sunday 17 October 2010.

11. Artists/groups must take full and �nancial responsibility for the arrival and departure of works to and from the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery Sunday Art Market and any damage caused to the works during display at the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery Sunday Art Market/Be responsible for insurance cover on all works at and during transport to and from the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery Sunday Art Market

12. Stallholders must ensure that works do not exceed a size able to be contained within the display area, and must be securely �xed to protect public and personal safety, and ensure that works do not protrude or create a public safety hazard

If accepted, what do I need to bring?

If your application is accepted, you will need to bring;

A Table(s) for presentation of your productsTable cover (optional)A monetary �oat. Please note that change will not be able to be provided by the Gallery.Bags/gift wrapping paper or packets/sticky tape/ ribbon etc to wrap sold items in if desiredRubbish bin (optional)Promotional material of a professional standard. Pens/paper to sign up new members (e.g. for Clubs/Society’s etc)

Note: the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery has a limited number of tables and chairs that it can provide to stallholders at no charge. These will be assigned to stallholders in order of applications being received. Once all chairs are allocated subsequent stallholders will be noti�ed of the need to supply their own tables and chair(s).

Who is the target market for this event?

The Sunday Art Market will be promoted to a broad range of art buyers, art enthusiasts, tourists and locals alike.

How much do I pay?

There is no cost to be a stallholder.

Can casual stallholders come to the market if they were not allocated a site?

No. Stalls will not be allocated on the day of the Sunday Art Market.

What time do I arrive on Market Day?

All stallholders must be at the Sunday Art Market no later than 8.45am and must conclude set up 15 minutes before the advertised opening time. Stallholders must remove all works at the conclusion of the event by 4.00pm latest. Stallholders must remove all works, packaging and other materials and return the exhibition/park and/or space to its original state at the conclusion of the market.

Do I have to personally attend my stall?

Stallholders must either personally accompany or appoint another person to accompany their artwork while it is on display. If you are appointing someone else to run your stall please provide their details on the application form.

What percentage of sales does the artist keep?

100% of all sales stay with the artist. No commission will be charged by the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery. Stallholders must accept that all sales and all arrangement with buyers are the responsibility of the artist and are to be negotiated between the artist and the buyer. Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery sta� will not manage any sales.

What size stall can I have?

Stall size: 3m x 3m approx.Other: as agreed with management

Can I request a particular location in the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery to have my stall?

You can request a particular location however this does not guarantee this area will be allocated to you. The Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery will endeavour to place stallholders in their preferred locations, however it will be dependent on considerations such as safety, suitability etc.

Can I conduct a demonstration?

Yes - demonstrations are very welcome but are subject to approval. Demonstrations such as painting or showing the creation of a particular product must adhere to safety guidelines and not present a cleaning situation. Materials such as easels etc required for the demonstration will need to be provided by the artist.

Do I require any insurance?

If your application is successful you do not require insurance to run a stall on the day as you will be covered by the Bundaberg Regional Council’s public liability insurance.

Do I need an ABN number to be a stallholder at the Art Market?

No. Stallholders are not required to have an ABN number.

Is parking available?

Parking bays exist in the immediate area around the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery. On a Sundaythere is no time limitation, however normal parking restriction such as loading zones, no standing zones etc must be recognised. All stallholders must observe any parking restrictions in the area.

Where do I unload and load?

This can be carried out in the parking zone directly in front of the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery on Barolin Street.

Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery parking bays (accessed o� Quay St at the rear of the Gallery) can be used for unloading purposes only but must be vacated directly after. All vehicles have a maximum of 20 minutes to load and unload.

Is storage available?

The Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery is not able to provide on-site storage before or after the Sunday Art Market event.

Are toilets available?

The Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery has male and female toilets located on the ground �oor near The Vault. Both of these have disability access. The Access Studio on the �rst �oor of the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery has a single unisex toilet which can be utilised by stallholders who wish to display their items here. Please note there is no disability access to this toilet.

Can I store food and/or drink items at the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery?

Yes. Stallholders are welcome to bring their own food and drink requirements, and store these in the respective fridges in the upstairs and downstairs kitchen areas. These items need to be clearly labelled to avoid confusion, and removed at the end of the Art Market. Items remaining after the event will be thrown away. Stall holders are welcome to access tea, co�ee, sugar, milk and biscuits from these areas during the Art Market. Any cups/cutlery/utensils etc that are used must be washed and put away by the user.

Can I drink/eat at my stall?

Stallholders can drink tea/co�ee or a bottled drink at their stall as well as dry food products (e.g. crackers/mu�n). Please consume any other food types in the Gallery kitchen’s or in the Gallery park.

Quality of craftsmanship

Products must be hand made or hand crafted by the stallholder or by persons belonging to the arts organisation represented at the market

Type and number of similar products also on o�er
