The maximum process temperature is outside the correlational
range of the automatic tube materialdata bank. The tube metal
properties were calculated at the temperature limit. For tube
metalnumber 1 the temperature limit is 21.11 C. Temperature limits
are available in the HTRI XchangerSuite online help file.
The estimated tube count for this shell is 30. A large variation
from the expected tube count mayindicate that program has used
different clearances (such as bundle-to-shell clearance
andheights-under-nozzles) than those expected. Although the
specified number of tubes has beenused to calculate the available
heat transfer area, discrepancies in exchanger clearances can
resultin inaccurate pressure drop and heat transfer
calculations.
An internal temperature cross exists in the exchanger. The
program handles the reverse heat flowproperly in the calculations,
but you may want to consider changing the terminal process
conditionsto avoid the internal temperature cross.
