You need fresh air,so does your home.
Following the energy crisis of the 1970s, we tended to insulate our homes and make them airtight. The result? Our homes are more economical to heat and cool because heat losses and infiltrations are reduced to a minimum. The consequence? Everything produced inside the home remains inside and accumulates. Resulting in the deterioration of indoor air quality.
More and more illnesses are associated with poor indoor air quality. We have only to think of the growing number of asthma and allergy cases. The air we breath is contaminated by all types of gases, dust and bacteria. In addition, we consume oxygen and produce gases and humidity, while not renewing the oxygen consumed.
What Should You Know?
According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), indoor air is anywhere from 2 to 10 times more hazardous than outdoor air. In fact, the EPA warns that the indoor air quality is the number one environmental health problem.

Heat or energy recovery has become essential today, given constantly rising costs and public awareness of our non-renewable resources. Heat or energy recovery systems have been designed to recover the heat or energy contained in exhaust air.
Thanks to a balanced air-flow exchange system, the heat or energy from contaminated exhaust air passes through the recovery core, and fresh air enters through other cells absorbing that heat or energy without mixing with the exhaust air. So you benefit from healthy fresh air while you save on heating or air conditioning costs. A selection of models and controls are offered to suit your needs.
How can you know whether you need a heat or an energy recovery system?
If you use a heating system more often than air conditioning, you need an HRV. If the opposite is the case, an ERV is recommended.

HRV*: A residential heat recovery ventilator uses separate motors to exhaust stale ambient air and to introduce fresh outdoor air. The technology of a plate heat recovery core is that it transfers warm ambient air from one airstream to the other without mixing the air streams for maximum efficiency and comfort.
*Application ideal for cold climates.
ERV*: A residential energy recovery ventilator uses separate motors to exhaust stale ambient air and to introduce fresh outdoor air. The technology of a plate energy recovery core is that it transfers latent energy (humidity) & heat from one airstream to the other without mixing the airstreams for maximum efficiency and comfort.
*Application ideal for warm humid climates.

Features & Benefits of the Greentek System
SPM attachment systemThe Greentek HRV/ERV products are designed for installation by a single person. “Single Person Mounting” will enable you to save time and effort by offering you a variable attachment system.
High Performance Engineered MotorsAll Greentek products are designed with high-performance and reliable motors for your comfort and peace of mind. Factory sealed and dynamically balanced, our motors are maintenance-free for years to come.
The polypropylene HRV CoreDesigned to maximize airflow and performance. The core is constructed from a composite of polypropylene materials that allows latent heat transfer from one airstream to another while preventing cross-contamination
Balancing Pressure TapsQuick and easy integrated balancing pressure taps located in the access door allows for accurate readings and maximizing your balanced ventilation requirements.
DuoTrol balancing systemSilent and economical... By reducing motor speed to balance the unit, you avoid the noise that would be produced by balancing dampers. In addition, with this technology the unit will consume less energy.
ISF Revolutionary Collar System(Patent Pending)
Quick and simple to install thanks to our revolutionary “Insert Slide and Fix” collar system. The “ISF” collar system enables you to manipulate duct within your reach and then insert by sliding it in place, for a better and quicker installation.
The dpoint ERV Core Advanced Heat and Humidity Exchanger superior to existing paper based cores, dpoint’s washable ERV Core is manufactured from a durable polymer membrane.Antimicrobial protection, which inhibits the growth of mold and odor causing bacteria on the membrane.
