While the idea of HR becoming a strategic partner to the wider organization is not new, the idea of using analytics to accomplish that goal is (Mark Feffer, 2014). It will no longer be enough to report on a department’s turnover rate, for example. HR will have to identify why turnover is high, and come armed with recommendations to address the root cause (Rishi Agarwal, PwC, 2014). Workshop Description: This two-day workshop provides HR practitioners an applied learning experience in HR Analytics. Participants explore the information and tools needed to harness the power of HR analytics to determine future organization performance outcomes. They learn to employ functional analytic imperatives to HR work through hands-on analysis, interac- tive case studies, problem-solving, and exercises through which participants gain the skills and knowledge to apply HR Analytics in the workplace. An understanding of Microsoft Excel and its capabilities are highly recommended. With the completion of this workshop, learners will be able to: •Articulate the value and adoption of HR Analytics within the organization •Employ functional analytics imperatives to HR work •Evaluate and recommend HR data analysis needs •Understand how basic statistical and data visualization techniques can be used for HR analysis •Apply Microsoft Excel to conduct hands-on data analytics •Discover how to connect HR data analyses to bottom-line financial outcomes Preapproved for 13 SHRM Professional Development Credits (PDCs) Workshop includes access to a post-workshop self-paced Quantitative Literacy on-line learning course with faculty coaching support Course Fee: $1,800 (includes materials, textbooks, post-workshop, meals, and refreshments) Date | Locations: September, 21-22, 2017 October 26-27, 2017 8am-5pm UVA Northern Virginia 7054 Haycock Road Falls Church, Virginia 22043 Contact: Alek Potrzebowski at [email protected] 703.536.1147 8am-5pm UVA School of Continuing & Professional Studies Zehmer Hall, 104 Midmont Lane Charlottesville, VA 22904 Contact: Kelly Merryman at [email protected] 703.536.1133 Enroll Today.
