Wallcoverings are produced to decorate and protect vertical surfaces in residential and commercial environments. Selecting a wallcovering will first depend upon the room interior and how much traffic that area will receive.

Wallcoverings are typed by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) in accordance to the ASTM F793 / CCC-W-408-D standard and test procedures.
EN 233 is in accordance with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations. All countries of the CEN are bound to implement the national organization’s European Standards.

CEN members include Austria, Belgium, The Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
Requirements for finished wallpapers, wall vinyls and plastic wallcoverings
A European Standard that defines requirements for cleanability and color fastness, specifies requirements for marking and gives a designated system.
