How do I get abs? How do I get a flat belly?
There is so much informationoverload out there.
It is no wonder people get so confused!
So I put together the most common questions about getting that elusive
flat stomach.
Here are some of the top questions
and my answers:
*Are abs really made in the kitchen?
It depends.
Nutrition plays a huge rolewith almost everybody thathas abs. This is because if youEAT more than you areburning in a day, you willstore fat and have a layerover those abs.
If you are an athlete, train ata super high intensity, etc. thenutrition becomes slightly lesscritical as you are burning lotsof calories and yourmetabolism works efficientlyso that you will have a flatbelly due to your hardtraining.
This is why you will see ultra fitpeople or athletes get away witheating whatever they want and stillhaving abs.
For example, I used toeat a super strict dietand would do longsessions of cardio to getthose abs to come out ofhiding. As soon as Iwent off my “dnet” theywould disappear.
It is nice to have abswithout the hours of slowcardio and watchingevery bite. The KEY is totrain at a super highintensity so that mymetabolism is always onfire.
*Is cardio important for abs?
Again, this depends.You have to get rid ofthe layer of fat foryour abs to show.
Training with INTENSITY is more efficient and changes the body much quicker. So if you are looking to make a change quickly, you need to UP THE INTENSITY.
If you are a competitive runner, triathlete, etc.,what I am saying about cardio really doesn’tapply to you.
If you want to get a flat belly in notime, focus on sprinting, plyos,competitive swimming or running, orother activities along those lines. Igive those a thumbs up!
*Can I get abs after having a baby?
YES. It may be harder, it may takea bit longer but YES, YOU CAN!
In case you dndn’tknow, I am amother, so I knowwhat it is like to dealwith excess babyweight and overcoming that to getabs.

*If you have loose skin what can you do?
The skin is not as elasticas we age andpregnancy does seemto stretch/change theskin around the mid tolower stomach.
Even if the skin nsn’t astight as it used to be, youCAN still develop thosemuscles and you CAN loseoverall body fat and thatwill drastically change theappearance of yourstomach.
*Do stretchmarks ever go away naturally?
Or does there have to be a cosmetic procedure?
Moststretchmarkswill fade overtime.
Unfortunately exercising and diet will not change appearance of stretch marks.
What you can do is make sure you drink plenty of water and keep the skin moisturized from the outside as well.
Mederma ointmentcan help as well, butjust make sure youapply it severaltimes per day.
*What is the BEST exercise for Abs?
Work up to 2 minutes and thenstart progressing the exercise.

No, not after what Ilearned about when Iwas dealing with myback pain.
I am going to admit andshare with you that YES,two years ago, if you hadasked me how to get abs, Iwould have saidCRUNCH AWAY, as thatis what I had been doing.
But I was wrong.

*Doesn’t eating fat make you fat? Why do you suggest fat

Eating fat doesNOT make you fat.
Lack of activity andeating unhealthyprocessed foods do.

*IF you have a C-section can you get abs back?
OF course. Now there is nota whole lot you can do toreverse the c-section, BUT youcan dramatically change theappearance by developingthe muscles in that area andlosing overall body fat viayour diet and training so theappearance will drasticallychange.
*What is the quickest way to lose weight and get a flat
belly?
