    contributors to conservation,paying for programs that benefit

    America's wildlife and

    all who love the outdoors.

    ISTHRIVINGHOWWILDLIFE

    State wildlifeagencies use thesefunds to purchaseland for wildlifehabitat and to

    manage wildlifepopulations.

    In turn, millions ofacres of importanthabitat have beenset aside to helpensure futurewildlife abundance.

    Hunters andtarget shooterspurchaseguns andammunition.

    Manufacturerspay federalexcise taxeson guns andammunition.

    Revenue from these excise taxes isdistributed to state wildlife agencies.
