Creating an engaged and diverse membership is key to your club’s success, but determining how to do that can be a challenge. We’ll introduce the basic skills needed to map out membership goals and identify the steps for a written membership plan, including a marketing program to attract younger and more diverse members and an engagement program to guide the involvement of club members and community.

SAMPLE STRATEGIC INITIATIVE

Our club will create a living membership plan in order to attract new members to our club, engage all members in our club, and outreach to the local community for participation and support, especially of the business community.

1. Increase club membership by at least net 1 new member each month through June 2015.

2. Create more diversity in the club by having 50% more females by June 2015.

3. Increase the membership of local industry members by 10% by June 2015.
