First step is to create a Facebook page for our contest application.


Login your Facebook account.


On the address bar, type


www.facebook.com/pages/create.php

and press enter.

Choose the type of your page here.


For example, I choose this.


Click this.

Click dropdown menu.


Click the type of your business.


Supply the information needed here.


Check I agree to Facebook Page Terms.


Click Get Started.


Click this to upload your business profile picture.


Double click on the profile picture you want to add.


Click next.


Fill up the info needed here and click Save Info.


You can skip this step and edit it later.


Done creating a Facebook page.


Now let’s start creating our Facebook contest using Short Stack.


On the web browser, type www.shortstack.com in the address bar

and press enter.

The main page of Short Stack appears.


Click any of these buttons to sign up.


Click Login with Facebook to create a Short Stack account.


Login using your Facebook Account.


This appears when done signing up using your Facebook account.


Click create Tab from template to start building your contest application.


Click this.

Public templates appears here.


Click Sweepstakes template for your contest.


Click make tab button after selecting your contest template.


Some set ups of your application is here.


To set simulated date of your contest click this field.


Pick a date in the calendar.


To run your contest in a specific country, Click the dropdown button.


Click the country where you want to run your contest.


To change the color of the application interface.


Click this.

Click the theme you want to use.


Click Save.


To edit the header text.


Go here.


Click Pencil Button


Now edit the text.


Click save button after editing the text


You’re now done editing the text.


To add picture in the application interface, go here.


Click the image widget.


Click select image.


Click choose file.


Browse picture from your computer.


Double click on the picture you want to add.


Click this button to use the selected image.


Click save.


Done adding picture.


To edit the Facebook share dialogue box.


Go here.

Click Pencil button.


This form appears.


Click this to expand the menu.


Click drop down menu.


Click Popup friend invite dialog.


Click show share Prompt on submit.


Type an invitation message here.


Type *actor* here to automatically add the sharing user’s name in the

caption.


Type a contest description here.


To add a sample picture of your prize, click select image.


Click choose file.


Browse the picture you want to add from your computer.


Double click on the picture you want to add.


Click Use Selected Image.


Type Enter Now here.


Click Save.


This is the output of the share dialogue box in Facebook.


To edit the friend request dialogue box.


Look here.

Click pencil button.


Write the title of the invite dialog here.


Write an invitation message here.


Click save.


Here is the output in Facebook.


Go back to Designer page and click install tab.


Click this button to publish the application.


Select the Facebook Page where you want to install your contest

application.


Click install to install the contest application in this page.


Our contest application is published.


Click this to rename your contest application.


Type the name of the contest application here and press enter key.


Done renaming our contest application.


Now let’s manage the contest application integration, click forms and

promos


You will be directed to this page.


To manage integrations, look here.


Click manage integrations


You will be directed to this page.


Click Form designer.


Click Form Settings.


Check the automatically approve entries.


Add email address here where all participants entries will be sent.


Leave this setting as it is.


Type the subject of the email message here.

Set your rules and disclaimers here.


Type here.

Or click copy to copy the example here.


Supply what is needed in the blanks.


Click save to save all changes we do.


Now, Let’s join the contest to test the application .


Open the Facebook page where the contest application was added.


Click Win a T-shirt to open the contest application.


The contest application will appear.


Click like to enter the contest.


Fill up form appears after liking.


Click Login with Facebook to automatically add your personal information.


Your info will automatically added here.


Type your email address here.


Click submit.


Click Login with Facebook.


Click share.


Done joining the contest.


Let’s choose the winner!.


Go back to Form & Promos


This appears.


Look here.


Click View Entries.


If this appears.


It means we don’t have a database in our current plan to view the entries of

participants.


But we can check the participants entries in our email.


Remember this step?


Add email address here where all participants entries will be sent.


Let’s check the entries in our email.
