What is ClickView & the ClickView Player ?

ClickView is a digital video software product which delivers digital videos from a library to any computer in College. This provides you with all the tools you need to successfully cater for ‘on-demand’ learning in the digital environment. It enhances learning possibilities by allowing teachers to integrate video and e-content with traditional methods. The ClickView Digital Video Library is regularly updated, giving you an additional source of videos.

The ClickView Player gives every PC across the college network access to thousands of educational videos, popular television programmes and films. Enhance your students’ learning by directing them to certain programmes that can be watched within College or embed them into Moodle so they can be watched off campus.

We record the following 6 channels 24/7:

Programmes from the previous 2 weeks can be captured. Once we have uploaded a programme to the

ClickView Player, it will always remain there.

We can also record any programmes from Freeview Channels, but require at least 7 days’ notice.

ClickView TV Guide Request Service

Each week the updated TV guide is emailed out to all academic staff across Blackburn College. With

its user friendly hyperlinked document, the TV guide allows staff to quickly navigate their way through

the PDF, locate their subject area and request any of the programmes.

When you receive your ClickView email, simply double click the PDF attachment and navigate your way

through using the hyperlinks.

If there is anything which you feel may be of interest to you or to your students simply click the title of the

programme and send the automated email.

Please also be aware that if there is a programme which you feel we have missed then you can simply

send an email to [email protected] and ask for your programme to be recorded. If for any

reason we don’t have access to the programme then we can either search the ClickView Exchange or

put a direct request into ClickView.
