Type www.Canva.com on the

address bar


Set up a Free account by

connecting with Facebook


Or Sign in with Google


Or enter your Email


And your Password


Then click Sign up


If you already have an account,

just click Login


After you have logged in, this

window opens


Then this, click

Show me how its done


Once you log in, youll see the Dashboard or Home page


To get started, select a Design


Or click the +


to see more Designs


Click Use custom dimensions to

Custom the size


Or create a specific size


Click the x


to go back to the

Home Page


Whenever you create a

Design


it automatically gets saved to

your Profile


So you can open it again later


and keep on working on it.


Lets click Presentation and start a new design


Canva designers have already

created a number of layouts


you can use for each design

type


Then youll see the Layouts tab on the left


Drag the bar to scroll down and

see more designs


So if I click on one


Its added to my page


In the Search tab is the

Canva Image Library


Currently there are more than

1,000,000 images in the library


Click on one of the

folders such as Icons


To bring up the collection in the

Image Library


You can also look for what

youre looking for


using the Search Bar


If we search for Telephone


it will show ALL the results in the

image library


Just click and drag that image to a

place holder


Next is our Text Tab


Click on the Text Tab and the

Text collection opens



And youre able to Add text to your page

Click and Drag the Text to your

page


Click to Copy Image


Or click Back


To put the Text at the back of the

Image


Or click Forward


to put the Text in front


You can also click the dropdown


and click Link


To add a link


Click Transparency


And adjust the bar


For Transparency of the text


Click on the Image to make

adjustments


Click and drag the corners to

resize the image


Click Filter


To adjust Brightness


Or you can use Free Text thats already been designed


You can click Background


To be able to Edit Solid Color


Click Blue


To change the background to Blue


Or Patterned Background


You can also use a Stock Image


And use it as a Background


The last type is for your own

Uploads



You can upload your own files

by clicking

Upload your own images


Or drag the files onto the screen


You can also connect your

Facebook account


To pull-in your images and

use those in your designs


Lets go ahead and actually create a quick design


Click Add a New Page


First click on the Background Tab


And add the screen background


Lets look for a Photo


Ill drag the Photo into my design



Next lets look for a Speech

Bubble

Type speech bubble on the search

bar


Drag the bubble to your page



You can choose the color for

the Speech Bubble

Click on the bubble to make

changes


Click to Pick a Color


Then select a color


Or click +


to select more colors


Or just retain Violet as the color


Click the Text tab


Which brings out the collection of

text


You can edit and change text


Click the Trash bin to delete the

bubble


Then click and drag the new

image with text


Double click text to edit the text


Click here to change Font


When finished with the design

you have a few options


Start by clicking the

Share button


You can Share the design to

Facebook


Or Tweeter


Or Enter email to send it to

someone else


If they have a Canva account,



Theyll be able to open the Canva Design

Click Make Public and enter your

Design Title


Then click Done


Click here to rename your design


Then click Done


Wnen finished click Canva to

return to your Profile


And start a new design


Youll see the design you just created has been saved


So you can open it again later.
