How to Take a PC Screenshot and Insert into an Email

1. On a PC/laptop press both of these keys at the same time: Alt + Print Scrn. The image is then ready to

‘Paste’.

2. In the message box of your email right click and select ‘Paste’ in the box which you type in the message.

The image will appear in your message box.

How to Take an iPhone/iPad Screenshot and Insert into an Email

1. On an iPhone/iPad press both of these keys at the same time: Volume Up + Power Button. The image is then

saved on your camera roll.

2. Then open the ‘Mail’ app.

3. Select the ‘New Message’ icon in the bottom right hand corner.

4. A new page will open. Type in the email address of the person who you want to email in the box labelled

‘To’. Your teachers’ email will be: [email protected] e.g. [email protected]

5. Type in the topic which you would like to discuss in the box which states ‘Subject’. Examples of what you

might write include: ‘Help with electricity unit 1’, ‘Support with my fractions’

6. Type in your message to the large white box. Then to insert your screenshot hold down on the white box

with your finger. A black bar will appear, select the arrow, then ‘Insert photo’

7. When you are happy with your message and you have explained the situation in full click ‘Send’ at the

bottom of the page.

How to Take an Android Screenshot and Insert into an Email

1. On an android device press both of these keys at the same time: Volume Up + Power Button

This will work on most phones and tablets. However, every device is different so if these instructions do not help

2. Then select the mail icon. A new page will open.

3. Select the ‘New Message’ icon in the top corner.

4. A new page will open. Type in the email address of the person who you want to email in the box labelled

‘Attach file/photo’.

7. When you are happy with your message and you have explained the situation in full click ‘Tick’ or

‘Aeroplane’ icon as shown above.
