HOW TO CREATE AN AERIAL SPHERICALPANORAMA WITH A
PARROT BEBOPBy Thomas Demolliens

1. TAKE 5 TO 7 RAW PICTURE 1/2 Option 1: manual
Manually fly where you want to take your pictures Shoot 1st RAW, pan approximately by 60°, take 2nd RAW, pan again by 60°, etc, until
you have shot between 5 and 7 RAW pictures to cover the entire sphere Option 2: use a 3rd party app called Bebop 360 (not tested yet)
Visit http://michelevagnetti.altervista.org/bebop/Bebop_360.html for more information
1. TAKE 5 TO 7 RAW PICTURE 2/2 Option 3: create a flight plan
Create a POI where you want the pano to be shot Dont’ forget to set the correct altitude Edit the POI: in this example I have set a 360° pan at 8°/s along with RAW pictures at
an interval of 8s
2. IMPORT YOUR PICTURES TO YOUR COMPUTER Well, guess you know how to do that!
3. DEVELOP YOUR RAW IN ADOBE LIGHTROOM This part is optional but it enables you to harmonize the colors of your individual
pictures, especially those facing sun

3. STITCH TO GET A SPHERICAL PANORAMA There are several software dedicated to stitching Photoshop

to level the horizon of your panorama (pitch & roll) and set the central point (Yaw)
Export your panoramaBefore After
4. RECONSTRUCT THE ZENITH I don’t like to leave a big hole in the zenith (when you look up the sky) and
found the perfect Photoshop plugin to fix it: Super Cubic I won’t details the steps in this deck as everything is perfectly explained on
their website: http://www.superrune.com/tools/supercubic.php
5. PUBLISH If you want to publish your pano in Facebook, you may have to fix the metadata
to have it recognised as a 360 by Facebook. In that case you can use a great and easy tool called Exif Fixer: http://panoramaphotographer.com/software/exiffixer/
Since Facebook compresses a lot I personnaly prefer to have my panos hosted by 3rd parties like 360cities, but my latest favorite is Kuula as it includes the possibility to create little planets.
Don’t hesitate to visit my Kuula profile: https://kuula.co/profile/bemol73
THANK YOU!Kindly note that I’m not affiliated to any of the software companies I
describe in this document, nor being paid by any of them to do advertisment.
This is just a personal research that I’m sharing with the community.
